Carbon monoxide is tasteless and odorless gas. It is difficult know its presence in the room. However a common symptom is frequent headaches, nausea, and dizziness, burning eyes, confusion, drowsiness and even loss of consciousness suffered by the members of the house. A yellow frail flame coming out of the pilot light instead of blue one is also a symptom. Lines of smut spotted around the furnace, absence of an upward draft in the chimney, too much moisture found in rooms near the windows, walls etc., rusty flue pipes and other such conduits, water dripping down the base of the chimney, vent, or flue pipe are also some of the signs of CO Leakage.
